Friday night was alive with the living definition of community, as well over two hundred people came together to enjoy a night of great BBQ, dancing and live music featuring Mr. Matt Morgan, Your Brother's Uncle, and the Drake Hayes Band. The night was in honor of three New Deal families that lost their homes due to the flooding rains that overcame the South Plains recently.
Several people donated their time and love to show these families that they are not alone in this world that too often forgets its neighbors. Items were gathered and auctioned off along with some impress raffle items that included a Yeti cooler, a rifle, and an amazing 1960 Ford F-100!
Three local bands were so generous to donate their talents and time as people mingled and enjoyed their dinner. Matt Morgan took the stage first.

Then Your Brother's Uncle took the stage and kept the crowd jumping with their covers and amazing family guest singers that stole the crowds' hearts.

And finally to take the stage was the Drake Hayes Band! Opening with "Asphalt" they played a crowd-rousing mix of original tracks mixed with 90s Country to some more current tunes. Drake even had Matt come on stage to sing "Nowhere Texas" that Matt wrote that is on Drake's album "Life" that was released that year and made it to numbest 32 on the Country Music Charts!

To feel the love and support come out in the community is refresher and just renews your soul to see people willing to support their fellow man in their dire hour of need.
